The 2005 FAO / ESCORENA International Conference

We would like to convey our appreciation to you for your participation in the conference.

The conference was a successful event and we are very pleased with the outcome.  The event was attended by 151 experts from 22 countries: Brazil, Bangladesh, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Italy, Northern Ireland, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Republic of South Africa, Russia, Swaziland, Sweden, Turkey, UK, and the USA.  A total of 52 oral presentations and 20 poster papers were presented.

We have transferred the delegates list, the TV coverage and some photographs to the ftp site for you to download.

As the organisers of the conference we requested each presenter to sign a copyright on their written paper but not their presentations, so the CD in your conference pack contains all the papers that were submitted to us prior to the conference.

The actual presentations belong to the authors and a number of them requested that we do not distribute their presentations as they contain un-published results etc.  Therefore, the onus now falls on you to negotiate directly with the authors for obtaining their presentations. We as conference organiser cannot provide the same to you.

We wish to thank FAO and Institute of Natural Fibres, Poland for affording this opportunity to host the event. We look forward to continuing our interaction with you and your organisation in the near future.

Regards.
